The Routemaster is the definitive London Bus, and ours first entered service in 1961. In more than forty years pounding the streets of London, RM 736 has operated from over twenty garages, and was finally withdrawn from Brixton in July 2004. It now wears the livery it carried when new to Edmonton in April 1961, with the traditional gold-underlined “London Transport” fleetname.
